ATTENTION COACHES!!

Hockey Manitoba quote, “In an effort to maintain a safe environment for Canada’s young hockey players, Hockey Canada and its 13 member branches (including Hockey Manitoba) voted to implement mandatory training for all head coaches involved with male Atom, PeeWee and Bantam level hockey teams. 
This four-hour clinic includes a three-hour classroom session and a one-hour on ice session geared towards the four basic progressions of checking and techniques on how to execute and receive body checks in a safe manner.”
 
All head coaches within your associations will be required to attend one of these session prior to Dec. 01^st in order to remain on the roster as a head coach for this season, pg. 131 S(4)of Hockey Manitoba 2014-15 Season Handbook.
 
In order to assist coaches within the Central Plains area, Hockey Manitoba has scheduled 2 of these clinics at the PCU centre: November 09th and November 30^th.
 
You must sign-up for these clinics through the Hockey Manitoba website using your eHockey account.
 
At this time we are only asking head coaches to register … as there are a limited number of spots available for each clinic, it is important that the head coaches are provided with the opportunity to attend. If closer to the clinic dates we find that we have some open spots in these courses, I will re-send this memo and we will allow assistant coaches the opportunity to enroll and participate.
