Two hundred sixteen (216) lucky players (6 and under) will have the opportunity to participate in this special event! The Hockey Manitoba Face-Off features a total of 12 teams with 18 players per roster based off of individual registration. Each team will have three ice sessions at 50 minutes in length each including a skills warm-up, small area games and half-ice games in accordance with Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) principles. Games will have timed shifts with in-game music, and the first game will include opening line-ups and O Canada. Please note that basic goalie equipment is provided to each team to use, all kids will have opportunity to play goalie should they desire. The event will also include parent information for long-term player development and Hockey Manitoba programming.
 
Please complete online registration & payment to confirm player’s spot in the event. Unfortunately we cannot accept requests for specific ice times. Please be prepared to play between 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM on event day.

Winnipeg Jets Tickets Draw
Each player will automatically receive one draw ballot for a chance to win a pair of tickets (two) to the Winnipeg Jets game on Wednesday, December 3 vs. the Edmonton Oilers. Attendees of the 2014 Hockey Manitoba Face-Off will have an opportunity to purchase additional ballots at the event.
 
Volunteer Coaches Needed
Volunteer bench coaches are needed to assist with this event and are encouraged to apply to be a part of the 2014 Hockey Manitoba Face-Off. Bench coaches will be responsible for getting their team on the ice at scheduled times, warm-up, and managing the bench during the game. There will be 2-3 volunteer coaches assigned to each team, all coaches must have Respect In Sport certification and have completed or working towards the Initiation Program coach certification prior to the event.  Note that Hockey Manitoba will have leads and assistants to run the on-ice sessions.
